This web site has been able to keep its overhead as low as possibly through the donations of close friends:
· The Site Doctor - web site development and hosting;
· Station 8 - graphic design on the "I have PMS" t-shirt;
· C.A. Designs, LLC - graphic design on the car magnet ribbons.

March 11, 2008 - effective immediately, we will be not be accepting orders for a short time due to inventory issues of wristbands. We purchased our wristbands from a company called ReminderBand and highly recommend them. They have extremely low minimum orders (20) and they can be customized as much as you wish.

Who are we?

My wife, Mandie, and myself, Doug, are parents of a brain tumor survivor. Our story starts the same as many of your stories - on January 2nd, 2005 - our daughter (then, 13 months old), Paige started vomiting once per day and became more and more lethargic. 10 days later, we found ourselves at the pediatrician for her and all agreed that it sounded like a stomach flu and that we'd watch her for signs of dehydration. 2 days later, we found ourselves at the ER with a diagnosis of hydrocephalus. The next day, it was a brain tumor and Paige had surgery at Johns Hopkins. We've "celebrated" clear scans since then.

Why BrainTumorLife.com?

Life changing doesn't begin to describe a brain tumor diagnosis. Mandie and I have decided to do as much as possible to raise awareness for brain tumors and for childhood cancer, in general. In our searches, there is wonderful support for other cancers, but we felt that brain tumors were under-represented. It all started with the "I have PMS" t-shirt and has grown from there...

What do we do with the money?

The web site and products take time, effort and, of course, money to create. The graphic design, web site and hosting are all being donated by friends - so, we're trying to keep overhead low. Inventory is stored in our house and we handle all aspects of the order processing. We'll keep a slim percentage of the profits, but have decided to donate the profits to three brain tumor charities. ... read more ...
